Red Horizon 2014
Light and elegant, this easy drinking red blend has an abundance of cherries on the nose, followed by the lingering scent of tobacco and ripe plums. On the palate, soft tannins give way to a well-integrated wine that is drinking exceptionally already, but promises to get even better by next winter.
Grapes are harvested in the cool of the morning and fermented on the skins. After pressing, the wine is racked to 225 litre French oak barrels of which 70% are new. The wine spends a total of 15 months in barrels.
Blend composition: Merlot 58%, Cabernet Sauvignon 37%, Cabernet Franc 5%.
