In pursuit of the perfect partner for our crisp Sauvignon Blanc 2014, we looked for a salad that was fresh, fruit-driven, yet not sharp or pungent (with overbearing vinaigrettes or strong cheeses). This salad, from celebrated Canadian blogger, Jennifer of Seasons and Suppers, fit the bill perfectly.

Feel free to substitute the pancetta for crispy bacon and/or the Pecorino for goat cheese if you prefer it. In addition, if the mention of ‘arugula’ has you scratching your head, it’s known as rocket where we live. If you’re pairing with Sauvignon Blanc however, we’d opt for a less strong leaf, perhaps cos or butter lettuce.
