November has been a great month at Uitsig, take a closer look at what we’ve been up to…

We are thrilled to be the recipients of not one but two five star John Platter ratings for our new and almost-released vintages. Constantia Uitsig’s Natura Vista 2014 as well as our Semillon 2014 were awarded South Africa’s highest honour in a glittering ceremony held at The Mount Nelson in October. As the only wine estate in the Constantia Valley to receive two 5-star ratings, we’re both proud and humbled by this prestigious endorsement. Our other wines didn’t fare badly either: 4.5 stars was awarded to our Chardonnay Reserve 2014, whilst our Constantia Red 2012, Sauvignon Blanc 2015, MCC 2012 and Muscat d’Alexandrie all received a respectable 4 stars each.

Our Wine Shop is open Wednesday to Sunday (10am to 6pm) over the festive season. Instead of tartan socks or musty cologne, why not treat your loved ones to a bottle of something really special…

In addition to offering breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday, Open Door Restaurant will be hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner that’s set to send off the year in real style. Offering an 8-course set menu, space is limited and booking is essential. R1250 per person with wine, and R850 per person excluding wine. Visit to book.

The Bike Park at Constantia Uitsig continues to grow and become an unparalleled cycling experience for both new and seasoned cyclists. With the wooden berm now complete, the sky bridge, corkscrew descent and rock garden route are in their final stages of development. The greening of the track is also well underway, and the Bike Barn is set to be finished in the next month or two.

For December only, The Bike Park is offering a reduced annual membership rate of R650 (save R100).
